Appliance of advanced technology in construction is regarded as a contributory factor to help construction enterprises fulfill their management potential, gain competitive advantages, decrease product price, thereby to modernize - industrialize the construction field. The Ministry centered on building legal documents on directing and managing appliance of science and technology in construction, and efficiently invested in agencies, departments and units in terms of science and technology. The Ministry of Construction has designed a strategy developing science and technology in period of 2001 - 2010, and is redesigning this strategy for period of 2011 - 2020. However, researching and applying technology in construction in Vietnam is far below other countries in region, let alone in the world.
